Whether for highway management, utilities, or local government the Trimble MX50 puts you in control of your data capture project. The system does not require specific expertise and is simple to install and operate.
Complimentary point clouds and images provide you with all you need to extract asset location, size, condition, and other inspection and attribute information.
The Trimble MX50’s accurate point cloud underpins your ability to locate and measure your assets, whilst 360° imagery allows for the determination of inspection data and feature attribute information.
Whether you are a first time mobile mapping user looking for a step change in productivity or an experienced mobile mapping professional considering adding additional capacity to your fleet the Trimble MX50 will generate reliable deliverables for many applications:
Through its Professional Services division (which provides cost effective access to the latest field to finish mobile mapping solutions) and through an extensive range of systems for purchase including the Trimble MX7, MX2 and MX9, our own KOREC developed KlearView 360 solution and most recently, the newly launched Trimble MX50.
“The MX50 is designed for non-expert users who want to use mobile mapping for tasks such as asset management, mapping, GIS data capture and road maintenance tasks.”
It combines all of Trimble’s established mobile mapping experience and consists of new, Trimble manufactured, profiling lasers, panoramic camera and a practical Applanix GNSS/IMU unit. It’s a cost-effective system that may appeal to users who see the price of high-end systems as prohibitive.
The MX50 has a user-friendly interface that gives operator complete control of both the laser scanners and of data capture. The point cloud generated is of medium density (960,000 pts/s), the lasers are accurate (2mm @30m) and the range limit is perfect for corridor mapping (80m). All collected data is highly compressed for easy handling and processing. Plus, the workflow couldn’t be simpler, just Capture, Process, Extract and Share.
It may be brand new, but thanks to our relationship with Trimble, KOREC has already showcased the MX50 in the UK and we’ve some great data to show you.
