When you hire survey equipment from us, you will always get peace of mind. 

All our geospatial instruments are maintained in our Trimble accredited workshops, which just happen to be located at our largest regional hire depot in the UK. We also have our Dublin workshop, which services our Ireland-based customers. 

Our laser scanners, total stations and other surveying equipment are maintained to manufacturer standard, as well as being regularly updated and calibrated before we deliver them to your site. We follow a strictly BSI-regulated procedure to ensure that our product hire service is always of the highest standard possible.

Whether you’re looking for short-term solutions or long-term hires, we have the right mapping and surveying equipment to help. We aim to offer next-day delivery but if you require a same-day delivery, KOREC will strive to achieve that. We’ll even deliver your equipment ourselves if it means you get the service you need.

What does the equipment hire process look like?

Discovery

Typically, the first thing we’d do is find out exactly which equipment is going to serve your needs best. If you aren’t quite sure, don’t worry! Our dedicated hire service staff are always ready to offer guidance and advice, on everything from total station hire to GNSS system or laser scanner rental.

You can also visit our hire workshops if you wish, where we’ll be more than happy to demonstrate how our products work.

Product Check

Once you decide which products you want to hire, whether it’s a total station, laser scanner, or GNSS system, all the equipment will be thoroughly checked in our workshop to ensure it’s in perfect working order and ready to use.

Delivery

Unless a specific delivery date is agreed, we aim to send out all equipment within 24 hours. To ensure maximum efficiency, we also have our own delivery drivers to ensure products are delivered in exactly the same condition they left the workshop.

Having this autonomy also means we may be able to accommodate same-day requests if logistics allow. You’re also more than welcome to collect from our workshops if you’d prefer.

How long can I hire survey equipment for?

There’s no time limit on how long a piece of equipment can be hired for. All our equipment is hired out on a weekly rate, with the expectation of the larger 3D laser scanners which can be hired on a day rate.

During this time, we’re always on hand to offer support and advice. We have a dedicated hire service hotline for our clients, so you can rest assured you’ll always be able to contact us when needed

Returning your hire equipment

Once your work is done, all you have to do is give us a call and tell us you’d like to return your equipment. We will then start the off-hire process. We can either arrange a collection, or you’re welcome to return the equipment to us yourself.

Once the equipment is back in our workshop, we’ll do the post-hire check to ensure everything is as it should be. If there are any issues, such as missing cable or antenna, we’ll let you know. We typically give 10 days for any problems to be rectified or for missing items to be returned. 

We work to a 28-day invoicing period for all of our equipment hires. Once everything is checked and any issues are sorted, a final bill will then be issued.
