It has come to our attention that it is no longer possible to compute fixed positions from GNSS (GPS) observations using Trimble Geomatics Office software. This results from the number of GPS seconds rolling over 1 billion shortly after midnight on 14th September 2011 (0 seconds having been set on 6th January 1980) and the WAVE Baseline Processor not being able to handle the numbers involved therefore any data observed on or after this date will not process to a fixed position in TGO. Anyone who uses Trimble office software to process GPS data relies (even though they may not know it) on the antenna.ini file stored on their PC to allow TGO, TBC, etc to recognise the antennae that were used to receive the data during the survey. Without this file it becomes necessary to enter all of the antenna phase centre offset information, and other antenna specific data, by hand in the software. This file updates the antenna and receiver information used in GPS post processing to ensure that the best possible levels of accuracy are achieved from your data.
