Our dedicated training team includes Trimble Certified Trainers and Certified Product Specialists. We recognise that comprehensive product training is crucial for successful and productive projects.

That’s why our training courses have been designed to equip you and your workforce with the essential skills and techniques needed to take full advantage of Trimble products and KOREC software.

  • Introduction to Topographic Surveying

    A Trimble Robotic Total Station is used as the primary survey device on this three-day course designed to introduce the novice to basic topographic survey procedures.

    The course begins by introducing some basic survey principles and the Robotic Total Station. Stationing methods are practised, from which a number of exercises develop the topographic survey method. During the course coded data are downloaded and drafted for export to CAD or print, plus the generation of survey reports.

    This course is perfect for those new to topographic land survey as an initial step into the workflows and theory involved.

    A three-day course covering a typical topographic land survey data processing workflow within Trimble Business Center.

    Those attending this course will learn how to bring a variety of survey data into TBC, check the raw data and process it. Bowditch and least-squares traverse adjustment is covered for the creation of control points. GNSS baseline processing for the creation of precise coordinates for Static GNSS observations.

    Survey data are draughted and tidied up using the CAD and text editing functionality within TBC. Surfaces are created and volumes computed. Contours generated. Data is also extracted from CAD drawings for export to use for setting out on site. The completed survey drawings are placed onto a plot sheet and exported to CAD.

    This course is suitable for anybody who wishes to take an initial entry level course to learn and practice a typical topographical land survey workflow from the field tasks to producing a survey drawing.

  • UAS Ground Control Point Collection Using GNSS
    All day
    28/07/2021

    To position aerial surveys precisely onto the National Grid coordinate system, both horizontally and vertically, often involves the marking and measurement of Ground Control Points in the survey area.  High precision GNSS technology, as sold and hired by KOREC, is ideal for this task. This course is designed specifically for those needing to use GNSS field devices to measure GCPs location precisely to National Grid in conjunction with UAS operations.

    The course also reviews how additional points can be collected for QA purposes and basic topographic detail collected using the GNSS survey equipment.

    Ideal for any drone operator with a need to place surveys precisely to British National Grid using the OSTN15 system.
