How we can help
KOREC delivers Trimble’s Network Rail and TFL approved GEDO rail solutions to support every stage of the track lifecycle, from new construction and renewals to maintenance and documentation. Designed specifically for the rail environment, the GEDO portfolio offers fast, accurate and low-disruption workflows for tasks where precision is critical and access is limited. Whether you’re installing slab track, validating geometry post-tamping, or capturing full as-built records of existing infrastructure, the Trimble GEDO track surveying trolley, sensors and software provide reliable, repeatable results.
KOREC has decades of experience in rail applications, and we’re here for you at every stage of the project. As an established partner to the rail industry, you can rely on us to deliver solutions that are compact, efficient, and proven in rail environments. We’re on-hand for help combining total stations, laser scanners and GNSS with GEDO systems, and offer advice on pairing with powerful software for geometry analysis, reporting and integration into BIM and CAD workflows.
KOREC’s Trimble GEDO solutions give rail teams everything they need to deliver quality, improve safety and reduce boots on ballast.
Trimble GEDO systems are trusted for fast, safe, and accurate track surveying, whether for new construction, renewals, or monitoring. The industry-defining GEDO is a modular system that works in conjunction with an IMU, a total station, laser scanner, or GNSS allowing teams to survey long sections of track with minimal disruption to services. This flexible system allows users to select the perfect tool for their job.
Combined with GEDO office and field software packages, it captures both track geometry and 3D point cloud data, ideal for clearance analysis, asset documentation and validating as-built conditions. With seamless integration into CAD, BIM and design workflows, the system delivers clean, reliable data to planners, designers, and engineers – all from one efficient field workflow.
During maintenance, GEDO systems provide pre and post-tamping measurement of track position to ensure work meets specification. Using a GEDO, engineers can quickly capture track geometry including cant, gauge, twist and alignment, and assess what adjustments are needed.
Post tamping, the system confirms the as-built position relative to design with high accuracy and generates quality control hand-back reports and supports alignment decisions – something other systems cannot match. This improves safety, extends track life and avoids return visits due to poor track alignment and eliminates rough rides.
Millimetre-level accuracy is critical for the installation, long-term performance and ongoing safety of slab track. And that’s precisely what the GEDO system from Trimble provides.
GEDO Vorsys and GEDO Track solutions support efficient layout and alignment of concrete slabs or sleepers, ensuring tight tolerances for both track geometry and construction sequence. It enables teams to measure as they install, verifying placement in real time and reducing the risk of rework. Integrated workflows with Trimble Access Rail allow for fast alignment checks, positioning of fixings, and documentation.
