Supporting education and the next generation of surveyors

KOREC understands that for our industry to flourish, it’s vital that we support education and the next generation of surveyors. We do this in a number of ways:
  • Industry collaboration: Partnering with leading institutions like CICES, TSA, CITB and BACH to shape the future of surveying
  • University engagement: Working with top institutions to provide hands-on learning and industry insights
  • School outreach: Visiting schools to attend careers fairs and demonstrate innovative technology in classrooms
  • T Level development: Contributing to the creation of T Level courses to equip students with the specific skills our industry requires
  • KOREC GeoSchool: Offering a range of free and paid online courses for flexible, high-quality learning, allowing surveyors to study at their own pace and stay engaged with the industry
  • Educational discounts: Trimble’s University Partnership Program (TUPP) provides educational institutions with discounted access to Trimble’s surveying and mapping hardware and software.

Through these initiatives, KOREC aims to assist a new generation of geospatial professionals to build rewarding careers.

KOREC Connect events

KOREC Connect events are nationwide, free, in-person gatherings designed to bridge the gap between further education and the surveying and construction industries, They are held in collaboration with BACH (British Association of Construction Heads) and TSA.

By uniting students, industry experts, colleges, and leading employers, our events have been designed to foster meaningful connections, drive collaboration, and address the critical skills shortage in our industry.

The benefits are clear:
  • For employers: Access enthusiastic, skilled graduates ready to join your workforce.
  • For students: Discover rewarding career opportunities with local employers soon after graduation.
  • For colleges: Boost graduate employment rates and strengthen industry ties.

Hosted in a friendly, informal setting, KOREC staff are also on hand to showcase a wide range of engaging technology including AI and Mixed / Augmented Reality solutions  and to facilitate introductions.

Successful events have already been held in the North East, South East, and South West of England with further locations planned.

Contact KOREC now to find out how Trimble’s University Partnership Program (TUPP) can provide your educational institution with discounted access to Trimble’s surveying and mapping hardware and software.
