KOREC is pleased to announce that we will be exhibiting at the Digital Past event. This two day conference will be held on the 20th and 21st of February and will showcase innovative digital technologies for data capture, interpretation and dissemination of heritage sites and artefacts.
In its fifth year, Digital Past 2013 is being held at the Shire Hall in the town of Monmouth, South Wales. There will be a combination of seminars, hands-on workshops and demonstrations to investigate the latest technical survey and interpretation techniques and their practical application in heritage interpretation, education and conservation.
KOREC consultants specialising in Survey and Mapping will be on hand to exhibit the latest in UAV technology, GIS data collection, survey equipment and laser scanning. Peter Holland, KOREC’s Mapping Sales Consultant for the south west will also be presenting a workshop on UAVs. He will discuss the different types of unmanned aerial vehicles available and how they can be used for archaeological mapping surveys. The Aibotix Aibot X6 will also be displayed on the stand during the two days, giving guests the chance to get hands on with the UAV that was featured on the gadget show last year.
