Rail Application Engineer – South East

We are looking for experienced candidates for the position of Rail Application Engineer who will be responsible to provide technical support and training to KOREC UK Rail customers.

  • A national role that involves frequent travel to customer sites and offices with occasional weekend/night shifts (time off in lieu provided)
  • Supporting both hire and sales customers with Trimble Rail Solutions

  • To develop, maintain & foster strong partnerships with new and existing KOREC Rail customers
  • Provide technical support and training to KOREC Rail customers
  • Assist with and conduct technical sales demos where necessary
  • Work with sales teams to ensure customers receive the right solution for their needs
  • Provide Technical Support and Training as required to KOREC Sales and Support staff
  • Generate opportunities for additional Training, Extended Warranty and Software updates revenue
  • Liaise closely with Trimble to provide feedback to enhance product development
  • Attend and take part in KOREC Technical days and other events
  • Attend Industry events and trade shows
  • Assist in the creation of new training and support resources
  • Self-development to build knowledge is expected within this role
  • Time Management is a critical part of this role and the individual is expected to liaise closely with other members of the support team and the wider business
  • Flexible working to meet the demands of the business and its customers is expected
  • Assist with Social Media utilising the companies chosen platforms with professionalism and respect
  • Respond in a timely manner to colleague and customer queries
  • Carry out other duties and tasks as and when required
  • Comply with Health and Safety regulations to safeguard the interests of the business, our people and customers

  • Working experience in a rail engineering/survey environment
  • Some experience with Trimble GEDO solutions and software or other track survey systems – additional training will be provided
  • Enthusiastic about providing Trimble Rail solutions to the rail industry
  • Flexible, dynamic attitude and a great team player
  • Self-motivated and capable of working under pressure
