Trimble Business Center is Trimble’s primary software platform for processing GNSS and total station survey data. In addition to the raw data processing functions, tools are provided to draft and print surveys as plan drawings. Create surface models, alignments and corridors and to inspect data in 3D.

This course is biased towards users of the Survey Edition of Trimble Business Center and therefore places more emphasis on the processing of raw survey data, both GNSS and total station. All the GNSS processing functions are studied as part of the course. However GNSS background & theory are not included, if these are required then the 3 Day GNSS Course would be more appropriate.

The use of the feature code library within TBC is examined, and how this can be used to draft plan drawings ready to export or print. To complete day 1, basic CAD editing functions are covered, plus export of various data types to different formats and devices.

On day 2 the emphasis switches to operations related to surface models, alignments and the use of total station data within TBC. The process of creating, editing and computing a volume from surface information is covered, plus how to rectify and drape an image over a DTM.  The Alignments & Corridors section deals with how to import and create basic alignments and turn them into corridors (e.g. road or rail surfaces) using templates.  Day 2 finishes by studying how total station data is handled within TBC and can be used along with Level & GNSS data to perform a network adjustment.
