Trimble Access is the Survey Division controller software for driving total station, GNSS and scanner surveys. Trimble Access is available on the TSC2 and TSC3 field controllers and the M3 total station.
Trimble Access appears similar in many respects to Survey Controller which preceded it, especially the General Survey module. However even experienced Survey Controller users will find this course of benefit as Access does differ from Survey Controller in some fundamental ways.
The course starts by providing an introduction to the access interface and modules, then moves on to run through the settings and options available within the software. The Trimble Access Installation Manager is covered, so that users can ensure their controller software is always up to date.
The Access General Survey module functionality is then studied in more detail. Here there are two options:
Option 1: Trimble Access for use with a total station
Option 2: Trimble Access for use with a GNSS system
The preferred option is selected at the point of booking. By extending the course beyond one day it is possible to incorporate both options upon request.
Within each option the General Survey functions relating to survey, setting out, map and COGO functions are covered. Following the survey a number of reports are created for QA purposes.
The Trimble Connected Community is then introduced. Students are able to sync data remotely back and forth to the office from the field controller, a great time saving benefit that Trimble Access provides.

The course can be extended to incorporate any of these specialist modules upon request. As part of the course delivery process a trainer will discuss any particular requirements well in advance of the course start, to make sure that all required elements are accounted for.
This course comprises a mixture of classroom and fieldwork sessions.
