Introduction to Levelling Course

Prev Next

The course is designed to cover basic principles and theory through to the use of an instrument, the different ways to book data, how to use a staff and how to make sure the data is reduced correctly.  Sources of error in particular are considered so that wherever possible error can be avoided or mitigated.

Practical sessions include observation of a levelling loop around a network of control points, the transfer of a level up a floor, establishment of datum marks and setting out a level.

Automatic Levels are used on this course for all practical sessions.   Trimble DiNi digital levels can be used instead with prior notice.
