The Trimble solution for as-built track surveys comprises the GEDO CE track measuring device (TMD) and related suite of software packages. GEDO Office is used to import/enter & check track design data before transfer onto a TSC2 or TSC3 controller running the GEDO Track field software.
The GEDO Track field software is used to calibrate and control the TMD. GEDO Track reduces, displays and stores track survey information. Real time lift and slew information is reported between the track design and field measurements. If lift and slew information is required for a tamping run, then the GEDO Track data is processed through the GEDO Tamp software.
This course is designed to follow on from the GEDO CE & Rec course. It covers how to import or manually enter design information into GEDO Office. What data are required and the checks that are made. Design data is passed from GEDO Office to GEDO Track for use in the field, whereupon an as built track survey is performed. The resulting survey is analysed in the GEDO Tamp software, in order to produce an output file to help steer the tamper.
