For those users who have chosen Trimble® TerraSync/Pathfinder Office, the training involves a standard initial equipment overview followed by an in-depth session on project management and mission planning in Pathfinder Office.
The ability to transform and transfer data to and from the data logger from Pathfinder Office is vital; this will also be covered in detail. TerraSync is an excellent tool for data collection, and an in-depth look at the different settings and a thorough data collection exercise will be carried out. This will be followed by a data upload, post processing and export exercise.

Those completing this module/course will be able to:
- Understand the fundamentals of GPS including limitations and accuracy factors
- Understand your GPS hardware and operating system including calibration, charging and general trouble-shooting
- Become familiar with the layout an functionality of TerraSync and Pathfinder Office
- Learn about project planning and the creation of data dictionaries for efficient data collection
- Practice importing background data into Pathfinder Office in both raster and vector formats and different coordinate projections, using the data transfer utility
- Become proficient at configuring the GPS and data collection using a variety of techniques with a thorough practical exercise in TerraSync
- Learn about data download, data analysis, export functionality and post-processing in Pathfinder Office
