ArcPad is part of an enterprise GIS solution and integrates directly with ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Server. Publish ArcPad projects to ArcGIS Server using the ArcGIS Server ArcPad extension. Any device that can connect to the Internet (by cradle, USB, Wi-Fi, or phone connection) can synchronize ArcPad edits directly with the enterprise geo-database via ArcGIS Server Advanced Enterprise edition.
You can add, delete, or modify standard ArcPad tools more easily. You can create a custom ArcPad toolbar or multiple toolbars for various projects and tasks within the ArcPad environment. As in previous versions, you may still extend customization further by using ArcPad Studio to add custom tools that contain scripted actions and behaviour.
