AUTOMATIC PRECISION FOR SUPERIOR CONTROL
Nikon AS/AE Series auto levels feature waterproof, nitrogen-filled, high-power telescopes that help you make precise measurements even in the wettest conditions. They feature a unique automatic air-dampened compensator to prevent magnetic interference, and an endless horizontal fine drive to ensure smooth, precise pointing and angular measurement. AS/AE Series auto levels are easy to set up and easy to use. The models can attach to both flat and spherical head tripods, and the standard optical sight lens helps you find your target quickly, easily and accurately. A mirror with a pentaprism lets you view the circular bubble as an erect image during setup and sighting.
The Nikon AS-2C is a 34x magnification +/-0.8mm accuracy (+/-0.4mm with PPM) and the Nikon AE-7C is a 30x magnification with +/-1.0mm accuracy (+/-0.45mm with PPM). Also available is an Optical Micrometer in meters (also known as a PPM - Plane Parallel Micrometer) which when fitted to the front of the telescope displaces the line of sight parallel to itself in order to measure the fractions of graduation interval on a levelling staff. The measuring range is 10mm and the smallest unit of measurement is 0.1mm. Ideal for high-precision levelling work, surveying of sunken ground and similar tasks.
