Trimble LM80 Perfect Choice for Active Learning at University of Liverpool
Contact us about this product
This new technology has been taken up by The University of Liverpool's Engineering department which has an annual intake of between 80 and 100 civil engineering students and is one of three universities in the UK to embrace an active learning teaching ethos as laid out by the CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement and Operate) teaching and learning standards.
Based on the tried and tested theory that students are more highly motivated and learn best when actively engaged with learning rather than remaining as passive recipients, Liverpool's students have embraced the practical side of learning with their use of the LM80 and involvement in a project known as the ‘Constructionarium'.
