With live demonstrations, 100,00 sqm of working machines and over 200 confirmed exhibitors, Plantworx 2013 is set to be huge. At the start of December the London Mapping Festival held their 2012 Showcase at the home of cricket; Lord’s in London. The show is the UK’s largest, free to attend exhibition for the mapping and surveying community. The prestigious venue saw over 450 attendees, 48 exhibiting organisations and a full schedule of keynotes and master class presentations. KOREC recently exhibited at Scotland’s Smart Cities Conference in Edinburgh on the 31st of October 2012. The event’s aim was to bring together leading thinkers, practitioners and industry leaders to discuss the ‘Smart City agenda’, and how it might meet the complex challenges facing Scotland’s cities. This three page article looks at Machine Control users outside the traditional core of road and rail.
