The May issue of CES magazine is the latest publication to feature a KOREC story. Click here or turn to page 35 to read “A Market Matures”. This three page article looks at Machine Control users outside the traditional core of road and rail. Many thanks to Wayne Barr and Julius Newman of Ground Developments in Scotland who took the time to explain how they are using Trimble Machine Control on a housing development for 162 homes in North Larkshire.

Channel 4′s the Time Team is back for a new series. In previous years it has proved the perfect showcase for the introduction of Trimble instruments to a main stream audience…and now it will be introducing UAV technology as well in the form of SenseFly’s Swinglet CAM. West Sussex County Council is the latest KOREC customer to have their Trimble mapping application written up and published. The April issue of LGN magazine features ‘The Value of Data’, an article based on the Council’s highway department investment in the intelligent data capture of the county’s drainage assets. KOREC is delighted to announce that it will be exhibiting on Stand No.7, Avenue F at this year’s ScotPlant event in Edinburgh. The KOREC team will be on hand to chat about the full range of KOREC systems and services including Trimble Machine Control and Laser Display systems, Nikon and Spectra Precision construction instruments and Trimble’s SPS range of Site Positioning Systems for measuring, setting out, checking and inspecting. Galliford Try are the contractors on the £300 million Scotswood regeneration project, a 62-hectare scheme in the west end of Newcastle-upon-Tyne, and will carry out most of the £19m-worth of site preparation work. Of course a job like this is a perfect showcase for the Trimble SPS range of products and PQS Survey were quick to introduce Galliford Try to both KOREC and Trimble’s SPS882 GPS and TSC3 logger with SCS900 Site Controller software on board.
