For all those who use Trimble office software to post-process GNSS survey data there is now a new configuration update file available dated 17th October 2011. This file updates the antenna and receiver information used in GPS post processing to ensure that the best possible levels of accuracy are achieved from your data. As the Ordnance Survey take advantage of the regular improvements in receiver and antenna technology it is important to keep up to date with the characteristics of any new hardware in order to calculate GPS positions accurately and correctly. It has come to our attention that it is no longer possible to compute fixed positions from GNSS (GPS) observations using Trimble Geomatics Office software. This results from the number of GPS seconds rolling over 1 billion shortly after midnight on 14th September 2011 (0 seconds having been set on 6th January 1980) and the WAVE Baseline Processor not being able to handle the numbers involved therefore any data observed on or after this date will not process to a fixed position in TGO.
