GNSS post processing in TGO
It has come to our attention that it is no longer possible to compute fixed positions from GNSS (GPS) observations using Trimble Geomatics Office software. This results from the number of GPS seconds rolling over 1 billion shortly after midnight on 14th September 2011 (0 seconds having been set on 6th January 1980) and the WAVE Baseline Processor not being able to handle the numbers involved therefore any data observed on or after this date will not process to a fixed position in TGO. It is still possible to process float solutions although this does not usually provide sufficient accuracy for surveying and engineering requirements. As TGO is not a current programme, and has not been officially supported for a number of years now, Trimble are not planning to update the programme to resolve this issue.
The resolution for this problem is to switch from using TGO on to Trimble’s current GPS survey processing software, Trimble Business Centre. While the necessary arrangements are made to proceed with this we are currently able to arrange a 30 day trial licence for existing TGO users.
To proceed with running the 30 day trial please go to this link;

and download “TBC v2.60 Full Install”. NB – This is a large install and can take up to a couple of hours to download, it is not advised to attempt this using a mobile internet device due to the amount of data being transferred.
Once you have downloaded and installed the programme contact KOREC Technical Support on 0151 931 6722, or e-mail to KOREC support, and we will arrange to acquire a trial licence code on your behalf. We will then forward the code to you along with a set of basic notes explaining how to process GNSS data in Trimble Business Centre (it is basically the same as TGO but there are a few minor differences, mainly in the display layout).
