It has been brought to our attention that the Ordnance Survey UK are planning to perform maintenance work on their OSNet active GNSS base station system. This will impact all systems related to the OSNet, including Trimble’s VRS Now amongst other GNSS network RTK correction systems in use within the UK. The maintenance work is planned to take place between the hours of 0900UTC and 1000UTC (9am to 10am GMT) on 20th November and 27th November 2011. Trimble have recently released an online version of their popular (and free!) planning tool for GNSS applications, available at http://www.trimble.com/GNSSPlanningOnline/. If you’ve not heard of the planning tool before, it allows a user to plot the course of the various GNSS constellations over the next 30 days by using a downloaded almanac.
