For KOREC Technical Support Analyst Darius Mirdamadi, a recent training request from our Mapping Consultant Martyn Palmer, took him slightly out of his comfort zone when he found himself 2500 miles away in a mountain range in Armenia! Training a group of geologists involved in gold prospecting for Lydian International, Darius spend two days teaching them how to use their new Trimble ProXRT and Recon controller with 10cm Oministar accuracy to collect borehole information for GIS analysis. The 14 July issue of NCE featured an article on the issue of machine control for construction activities. On the 23rd August, KOREC customer Nick Caulfield of Caulfield Contractors, an Essex based family owned company that specialises in installing drainage systems, responded to this piece in an NCE viewpoint column and explained why he decided to invest in Trimble machine control for future growth and how this technology has contributed to the work he is doing on the M25 widening project. The NCE piece is also available on line but can be viewed only by subscribers at NCE website

Customers wishing to directly mount the antenna on the roof of a vehicle should use a separate magnetic mount. It can now be used in conjunction with Trimble GeoExplorer® 3000 series handhelds. Issues whereby GeoExplorer 3000 series handhelds in some cases would shut down when connecting with… Read More
