Having spent an interesting day at Civils on Wednesday in London my roadtrip from Liverpool continued down to Southampton yesterday for The Survey Association‘s Discussion Group which was kindly hosted by the Ordnance Survey at their Business Centre. If you are trying to licence FastMap and Geosite you will need access to the internet.  On the Licence Manager the online light should be a bright green. N.B. You may have browser access to the internet but this is unlit (dark green).  A firewall will be blocking access.  Don’t worry this is very common under corporate IT policies.  Follow the steps below, however you will need browser access.
